Retirement calculator. How much do you need to retire?
Start from what your household spends today. We carry it forward with inflation and work out the corpus that can pay it every year.
How much do I need to retire in India?
Roughly 25–30 times your yearly expenses at the time you retire, after inflation. The calculator turns today's monthly spending into that figure.
Why a 3.5% withdrawal rate?
The 4% rule comes from the US. Indian inflation runs higher and retirements can last 30 years, so 3.5% leaves more room. A higher rate needs a smaller corpus but runs out sooner.
Which inflation rate should I use?
Health and education costs rise faster than the headline figure for most families. 6% is a careful middle; try 7% to see how much it matters.
Is ₹1 crore enough to retire?
For most urban families, no. At 7% inflation, ₹1 crore today buys only about ₹13 lakh worth in 30 years.
Is the return guaranteed?
No. It is an assumption you choose. Market-linked returns rise and fall; a lower assumption simply needs a larger monthly saving.
